My name is Kim Castle. I started my first business (graphic design) right out of college while I was working three other jobs. Not all that amazing; I was accustomed to that. I often worked several jobs at the same time to put myself through college. In fact, I started working at 13 years old to be able to buy clothes, haircuts...food.

You see, I grew up in less than ideal conditions. Poverty, welfare, food stamps, and a young single mother with three little kids who dreamed of making something of herself but was incapable of doing anything about it because she was incapacitated by indecision and fear. And so, she stayed stuck in the cycle of dependence her whole life.  

I remember one afternoon she came home with a gift she really wanted me to have. It was a button with a red line through the word decision. (It was the 80's. Those kind of buttons were in.) 

BAM!  A Light Bulb Went Off!

I had no idea it would change other lives, too.

At an early age, I knew that this was not the way I wanted to live my life. I made a DECISION that I wouldn't let anyone else live that way either—if I could help it.

So, I became HIGHLY ATTUNED TO ENERGETIC PATTERNS that cause those blocks. My mother became my test subject. I could actually see where she got stuck and developed an intuitive awareness for getting at the root of the issue and moving her beyond it into action. I'm not sharing this as a bid for sainthood. It honestly came out of the need for my survival.

Not only did I survive...I THRIVED! 

I worked hard to put myself through college, and my tenacity paid off. Before I knew it I was interviewing powerful celebrities and public icons on TV, performing stand-up comedy alongside comedy legends, working on brand development for multi-million dollar Fortune 500 companies, and making great money along the way.

A far cry from my humble beginnings! But...in spite of that, I experienced fear at every single turn. Yes, I have fears, too. Everyone does. I chose an approach 180 degrees different from my mom's. Fortunately, I now know how to make these fears work FOR me instead of against me.

I learned how to transform these fears quickly so that they would never again cause me to miss an opportunity. I remember my very first TV interview. I was sitting in a ritzy hotel suite with a film crew setting up around me, about to interview a high-powered, legendary Hollywood producer. Scared to death. I had to shift fear fast! Once the camera stopped, he said it a was one of the best interviews he'd ever done. Good thing my approach worked.

Ah ha!! That means you can't stop it. It's REAL. You can't pretend it's not there. That's why even though you can't see those blocks that stop you, they're there.

That's why most so-called "fear approaches" don't work or provide a lasting solution. I just don't understand why most people teach dealing with it in such a way that it'll never work. Maybe to keep you hooked?! Bottom line, they aren't approaching fear in the way it was created.

With the help of the science of Unified Conscious Development™(UCD), the same science behind all BrandU® programs, I was able to track how every single fear forms and reacts—that what we experience as a limiting thought is really the result of two of the four human experience filters going haywire and creating havoc in your life until it decides to stop on its own. ONE of These '5 Faces of Fear' is Keeping You from Your Million-Dollar Life —Believe Me, I KNOW 

Over the years, there have been several approaches to alleviating the pain of fear. In lieu of having a reliable approach to dealing with it, everyone adopts their own way of coping. Typically, this takes on one of these five faces: 

• SPIN IN IT: Revisit the inciting incident over and over until you decide you're ready to move on. This psychological approach encourages you to sit and spin in the emotion until you stop. Typically this takes a long time and gets very expensive. (I'm not ragging on it, but really, do the emotions ever stop?)
   
• WALK WITH IT: Walk with the fear and spend the rest of your life getting to know it inside and out is the favored tactic. This Buddhist approach takes a long time as well, PLUS, you can get lost in the exploration of the fear itself and forget that you are trying to accomplish something—umm, like your business. (Time is money.)
   
• ATTACK IT: Attack the fear so hard that it goes scurrying away. Often this, "eat fear for breakfast" approach used by sports coaches and sales trainers around the world eventually sets you up to get chomped on yourself.
  
  
• FEEL IT, DO IT ANYWAY: Admit the fear and say "what the heck." And then what? While you may temporarily suppress the fear, it always comes back and hits you harder...often when you least expect it!
   
• DENY IT EXISTS: Often referred to as the "cancel, cancel" approach, you simply pretend that those thoughts don't exist. This is the "false evidence appearing real" camp. Pretend it's not there? I just told you fear IS real. (By the way, this was my fear face. A rose-colored glasses kind of thing.)

Despite the vast study and all good intentions, none of these methods ever deliver quick and reliable results, do they? Not one of these approaches effectively addresses how fear develops in a way that you and I can understand—nor do they deliver a practical and quick process that entrepreneurs can rely on 100% of the time.

Think of your mind as an amazing garden capable of growing anything you can imagine. Now, think of your business idea or anything you want to accomplish as a beautiful rose bush. Now imagine that bush struggling to bloom because it is surrounded by, and covered with, weeds.

An overgrown garden filled with fears, many of which you don't even know are there—until something triggers an emotional response and whammo—you're frozen. Until...the trigger decides to loosen its grip and you can eventually backtrack to where you were before the fear started wreaking havoc and pick back up from there. So much time and money is lost in this pattern. Why do that, when there's a much faster way that's PROVEN?!

In order to permanently remove these fear weeds you need to:

1) Acknowledge they are there. While the thought or concern may not be real, the blocked energy of it certainly is in you.
2) Realize they've been growing unattended, often lumping together in fear balls.
3) Know that admitting they are real DOES NOT make them stronger; it makes it possible to see them and remove them.
4) Identify each thought, loosen your emotional/mental hold on it, pull it out at its root, and plant a different, forward-moving thought in its place.

• Why "denying it" and "feeling it and doing it anyway" can never work to remove a fear. NEVER ever ever!
• How to identify individual fears and toss out ones you thought were fears (but are really just noise you picked up.)
•  A simple format to follow to ensure you clearly identify the source of each limiting thought (once you learn this format, this step gets faster and faster).

NOTE: At first this step seems harder than it is. Once you learn the EXACT FORMULA, it will become a habit that you'll find yourself doing without even realizing. It just feels better. (You'll see.)

I know it sounds kind of "woo woo" but it's true. If you know anything about science, the first law of thermodynamics states, "energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only change form." This applies to the energy of fear, too. Wouldn't you want to change it to a form that serves you?

• Why affirmations never feel like more than really powerful hopes—no matter how much you want them to happen.
• What is really happening in you to cause a fear and WHY your head and your heart seem to be in cahoots AGAINST you (Hint: they're not, they just need some help remembering it.)
• The MOST POWERFUL thing you can do to get fear to release its grip—EVEN when you're right in the middle of it. (This step was the BIG KEY that opened the entire process up.)
